Follow 16 Cincinnati teenagers as they join 10,000 teens from around the world to participate in the annual March of the Living program.
During their two-week trip, participants will learn about Jewish life in pre-war Poland, visit concentration camps and take part in a silent march on Holocaust Memorial Day from Auschwitz to Birkenau. After the March, all 10,000 participants travel from Poland to Israel to observe Israel's Remembrance Day and celebrate Israeli Independence Day, and spend another week touring the country.
To prepare for this trip, the Cincinnati delegation attended six weekly classes at the Center for Holocaust and Humanity Education where they learned about the Holocaust, heard personal stories from local survivors and learned about Israeli culture.
Many members of the Cincinnati delegation used their Israel Grant to pay for this trip, which is available to all Cincinnati high school and college-aged students, thanks to the generosity of The Jewish Foundation of Cincinnati.
