March of the Living is a two week trip to Poland and Israel. Every year, over 10,000 teenagers from around the world gather in Poland to travel back in time and follow in the footsteps of their ancestors to discover traces of a world that no longer exists. We explore Jewish life in Europe as it was then, and how it forever changed when the Nazis came to power. March from Auschwitz to Birkenau on Holocaust Remembrance Day (Yom Hashoa). Be empowered. Make the choice. Take the steps to proclaim in a voice 10,000 strong--"we’re still here."
Whether you have been to Israel many times before or this will be your first time, you will find a new appreciation for the famous Hebrew words, "Am Yisrael Chai" (the people of Israel live). See some of the most famous sites in Israel, including Masada, the Dead Sea, and the Western Wall, considered the holiest of places for the Jewish people, all while realizing a deeper meaning to having our own Jewish state.
Take part in genuine Israeli cultural experiences. Cook over an open fire, ride camels, and spend the night in a Bedouin tent in the middle of the desert. In Netanya,Cincinnati’s sister city in Israel, stay with a host family, observe Israeli Memorial Day (Yom HaZikaron) at the high school there, then party all night with millions of teenagers from around the world and help celebrate the birth of modern day Israel.
If you are a high school senior, with at least one Jewish parent, you may qualify for an FREE, all expense-paid trip to take part in the Cincinnati March of the Living delegation, made possible by the Jewish Foundation of Cincinnati. Join us and proclaim in a voice 10,000 strong... Never Again.
