The J Fit program is designed to educate and motivate you to reach your fitness goals through personalized guidance and instruction, utilizing the exercise facilities at the Mayerson JCC.

We provide you with a program designed to meet your individual needs and goals J Fit certified personal training professionals take you a step beyond your typical exercise regimen, and help you eliminate any guess work! We will provide you with variety, support, consistency, guidance, education and the motivation to help you exceed your expectations!

Since everyone has unique goals, we offer a variety of program formats to meet your needs. The following formats are available:

Guided workout based on individualized exercise prescription

  • Results-based training consultation
  • Fitness and/or health assessments appropriate for your needs and goals
  • Focus on goal setting, core training, resistance training, flexibility and cardiovascular training

Private One-on-One Training (one-hour sessions)
This is the traditional full hour of individualized personal training during each session.

Express One-on-One (half hour sessions)
This program is designed for those individuals who are looking for an intense workout of shorter duration. The perfect fit for anyone with a tight schedule and a desire for a concentrated workout:

Partner Training (2 People, one-hour sessions or 3 people, one-hour sessions):
Are you looking for the opportunity to train with a friend? Partner training has been proven to increase commitment to a fitness regimen.

Small Group Suspension Training

Individualized instruction; great value!

Get a more personalized approach! Groups of 3 - 5 enjoy a variety of workouts in a social atmosphere. This is a great opportunity to get individualized instruction at a great value!

The Suspension Trainer leverages gravity and bodyweight to perform hundreds of exercises. The user is in control of how much challenge and resistance to apply in each exercise by simply adjusting body position to add or decrease resistance.

The Suspension Trainer:

  • Delivers a fast, effective total-body workout
  • Helps build a rock-solid core
  • Increases muscular endurance
  • Benefits people of all fitness levels (pro athletes to seniors)

Groups of 3 - 5 people meet with a trainer weekly for 6, 8, 10 or 12 weeks at a time.

$15/person per 1-hour session

Whether you are experienced or a beginner, we offer many styles of yoga personal training to fit your specific needs. Located in a private room, experience Yoga with no distractions, no competition, in a relaxed environment where you can feel at ease with yourself and the world.

Perhaps the most renowned of all Pilates equipment is the Reformer. More than 100 exercises can be performed on this surprisingly versatile apparatus using its sophisticated system of springs and straps.

The Pilates Reformer consists of a gliding platform on which you sit, kneel, stand or lie. You push and pull off the foot bar using your arms, legs, wrists and ankles to slide back and forth along the rails in a controlled manner while the tension in the springs gently works your muscles.

Exercises on the Reformer improve torso stability and postural alignment while working limbs in a range of motion. The adjustable springs allow for progressive resistance, which helps to lengthen and strengthen your muscles rather than building bulk. This effective, no-impact workout is also friendly to your joints.
