Social Worker
Ann Pappalardo, social worker for the JCC senior adult program, works on Thursdays and Fridays, 10:00am to 3:00pm. She is licensed both as a social worker and a professional counselor. Ann can assist any JCC senior who has questions about or needs referrals to community resources. She is also available to provide JCC seniors with support, guidance, and/or crisis management relative to personal, family, social, or mental health issues.
Ann facilitates innovative computer programs for JCC seniors designed to challenge the brain and keep it healthy and active. She also facilitates two support groups: Adult Children of Aging Parents and Dementia Family Caregiver.
Adult Children of Aging Parents Support Group
Ann facilitates this group along with Ann Sutton Burke. This group meets the fourth Thursday of each month, unless noted, from 7-8:30 pm. Check at the front desk for room number. The group runs for six months at a time. Open to the community, this group discusses challenges, issues, or concerns and allows for feedback and support from others experiencing similar situations.

Dementia Family Caregiver Support Group
Ann facilitates this group which is sponsored by the Alzheimer’s Association. This group provides an opportunity for caregivers to discuss challenges and share helpful tips, while receiving support from others in similar situations. This group meets the third Thursday of the month, unless noted, from 1-2:30 pm. Check at the front desk for room number.
