Overview
“If you will it, it is no dream.” – Theodor Herzl
Art-making begins this summer for the fall festival of Sukkot* celebrated with the J’s annual Under One Roof community art exhibit, featuring artwork designed by organizations, groups, and individuals around their interpretation of this year’s central theme: Dream. This fall will be a celebration of Israel at 75 and the visions and hope that move us.
The Under One Roof Sukkah Art Exhibit is displayed in a temporary sukkah in the Mayerson JCC courtyard from October 1 – 12. During the fall display dates, a variety of events take place to celebrate community, art, and conversation. Contribute to the annual Under One Roof community art exhibit by being a part of the art, creating and contributing artwork designed by your organization, group, or individually.
Under One Roof is made possible by presenting partner Rockwern Charitable Foundation. This program is funded in part by the Jewish Federation of Cincinnati and The Jewish Foundation of Cincinnati.
*Sukkot is the Jewish festival giving thanks for the fall harvest. It also commemorates the 40 years of the Israelites wandering in the desert after Sinai. It is also the Hebrew word for the temporary structures built to celebrate the holiday.
