It’s crazy to think that the number of fingers I have on my right hand is higher than the number of days until our departure to Warsaw. The transformative experience at the end of my senior year is only four days away! I’m excited to travel back to the Holy Land and experience all that it has to offer (especially Aroma Iced Coffee). Aside from the fun stuff, I’m eager to walk through concentration camps and ghettos and cemeteries and see firsthand the worst tragedy to face my people in recent history. It’s a journey that I am, in many ways, still unprepared for; however I’m proud that I will soon be taking an active role in ensuring that we never forget the atrocities forced upon innocent human beings. Millions were murdered with no one to remember them, and I will do what I can to ensure that the horrors they went through are never diminished and forgotten.
