Did you buy a lot of summer vegetables and not know what to do with them? Do you want to eat fresh veggies well after they are picked? Do you love to eat pickles, kimchi, or sauerkraut? If so, then come join us as we take a dive into the world of pickling. We will talk about what pickling is and why it’s good for you. Then we’ll pickle our own veggies.

A Night in the Sukkah
October 11, 7pm
Join other YPs and spend some time under the community sukkah as we celebrate Sukkot. We will learn about the traditions associated with Sukkot as well as enjoy some music, pumpkin drinks, and pumpkin desserts. While there, don’t forget to admire our community art exhibit, Under One Roof. Organizations in the community will produce paintings on canvas panels to hang throughout the sukkah.
November 11, 9am-4pm
Get outside for a day of volunteering as we hike with Outdoor Adventure Clubs (OAC). OAC helps bring urban teens out into nature for healthy outdoor recreation, education, and conservation opportunities at no cost to participants. We’ll join their teens on a hike, followed by lunch and s’mores! Meet at the hike location for a pre-hike meeting – check MayersonJCC.org to learn more about the hike location and additional details.
Outdoor Adventure Clubs (OAC) currently only offers this teen mentor program on Saturdays. We are working with the OAC to add a Sunday event to their program calendar. In the meantime, we invite YPs who are comfortable participating on Saturday Shabbat to support this outside organization, which enriches the lives of underprivileged teens in the Cincinnati area.RSVP
