The Early Childhood School Parent committee provides support to the JCC Early Childhood School, enhancing our community following the elements of Sheva, Tikkun Olam (care for the earth) and Tzedakah (acts of giving).

A Taste of PJ Library: Allergy-Friendly Passover Fun
Time: 3 – 4:30pm
FREE with RSVP
Foods served will be labeled and common allergens will be avoided. Join PJ Library for a fun family event to celebrate Passover and to support Disability Inclusion Awareness in our community. Part of the fun of Passover is eating so many yummy foods, but for those with food allergies, new menus can be a challenge. We will sample and learn how to make different Passover menu items while also learning about food allergies.

This memorial service honors soldiers and victims of terror who gave their lives in defense of the State of Israel. In partnership with the Jewish Federation of Cincinnati.

Yom HaAtzmaut – Humans of Tel Aviv Photography Exhibit
Enjoy a day of family fun for all ages! The J’s Israel Independence Day celebration includes delicious Israeli food, arts and crafts, games, and more. Be sure to also check out the popular Humans of Tel Aviv traveling photography exhibit!

PJ Library Art Extravaganza with Kennedy Heights Art Center
Time: 3 – 5pm
At Kennedy Heights Art Center
J Member: $7; public $10
Join PJ Library at Kennedy Heights Art Center as we bring a PJ Library book to life. Children ages 5 to 9 will create an art project based on a popular PJ book, and PJ Our Way participants will complete an art project based on a Jewish value. Parents are encouraged to create art with their children during this family event. Stay after our projects are complete for snacks and socializing with other families!
3rd Annual PJ Library Hamantashen Bake
Time: 3 – 5pm
At Whole Foods Rookwood

Families can bake hamantashen together and learn about Purim. We will celebrate the holiday with an activity, kids’ cooking demo, and story time! Kids (and grown ups) are encouraged to come in costume! There will be a costume contest with small prizes.
January 29 – February 9
Tu B’Shevat Fruit Orchard
Early Childhood School students will create “trees” made of reclaimed materials to celebrate the environmental holiday of Tu B’Shevat* (the Birthday of the Trees). The trees will be displayed in the Mayerson JCC lobby – be sure to take a few moments to enjoy the artwork in our handcrafted orchard!
Purim* is one of the zaniest and most fun holidays on the Jewish calendar! Stop by the J to see our adorable Early Childhood School students parade in costume throughout the building.
