Pianist Eric Himy: Artist in Residence

Pianist Eric Himy in CincinnatiWorld-renowned pianist Eric Himy will join the Mayerson JCC as our Artist in Residence for a series of concerts and masterclasses. Himy is a Juilliard graduate and winner of the Gold Medal at the 1988 World Piano Competition in Cincinnati, the Kosciuszko Chopin Prize in New York, and top honors in the 1991 Milosz Magin International Competition in Paris. His compelling artistry has intrigued audiences and received critical acclaim from around the world.

Gershwin in Paris: Pianist Eric Himy in Concert

Explore this Jewish – American composer’s musical development as it was influenced by the time he spent living and composing in Paris. Through music and storytelling, Himy will demonstrate the diverse American and European influences that impacted Gershwin’s repertoire including performances of Gershwin, Debussy, Chopin, Liszt, and Ibert.
